When you make purchases through an online store, a commission is paid to ChopDog. The commission paid to ChopDog varies depending on the merchant and products purchased. But in any case, you earn points based on the value of the product and its commission rate. These points are deposited into your ChopDog account to spend on gift cards to help you buy cell phones, building supplies or much, much more.

Yes. You actually get rewards to use coupons at participating local businesses. When you present a ChopDog coupon to a local store, a redemption fee (or commission) is paid to ChopDog by the business. What are reward points and what can I use them for?
ChopDog gives you points as rewards for making purchases and using coupons with participating ChopDog merchants. These points can be redeemed for gift cards from a variety of stores through our “Redemption Center”.
When do points post to my account?
Your points post to your personal reward statement as we get information from stores you shopped at or stores where you used coupons.
Do points ever expire?
Your reward points never expire as long as you are actively participating in the program i.e. making online purchases and using coupons. An account that shows no activity for 12 consecutive months is considered dormant. A dormancy fee of 100 points per month is applied to the account to cover data & administration costs until either the points are gone or it becomes active again. Additionally, if you decide to opt out of the program for some reason, you will be encouraged to use up your points with gift card purchases. Any remaining points will be lost.
I did not get reward points for an online purchase? What could have happened?
- You had blocked cookies from your computer which did not allow for your tracking
- The cookies you had with your online merchant may have expired because you did not go through ChopDog.com.
- You directly logged on to the store’s website without going through ChopDog.
- The store has not reported a sale back to ChopDog yet.
Do I have to log on to ChopDog.com in order to make online purchases?
No but it is highly advised. Most if not all online vendors use cookies as a means to pay commissions back to ChopDog which in turn will be paid to you. However, if you clear out your cookies and go on a store’s web site to purchase something, you will not get commission. Additionally, some cookies expire in 30 days. So it’s always a good idea to log onto to ChopDog.com and search for your product or favorite online store.

How do I get money back from an online or another local merchant and what happens to my points?
You will need to contact the merchant directly. ChopDog will be charged back for any commissions it receives. Consequently, whatever points you were given will be charged back.
Is There Any Cost To Join, Monthly Subscription Fees or Yearly Dues?
There are no costs whatsoever.
Is There Anything I Have To Do?
No. Just join and shop. ChopDog does all the work for you. We create all the relationships with local and online merchants to save you money and to pay us (instead of an ad agency, TV, radio or newspaper) when you make a purchase. We track your purchases and promptly credit your account and your non-profit’s account. And, all the information is online in your account for you to view.
