What is ChopDog.com?
The Fun Way to Shop, Save, Earn & Give
ChopDog’s slogan is “Shop, Save, Earn, Give.” It seeks to do this by providing coupons to its registered members that will provide savings for online merchants and in-store purchases from local merchants. This fulfills the ‘shop’ and ‘save’ part. ‘Earnings’ come in the form of “Points.” Purchases made using coupons or bargain deals found on ChopDog will have subscriber IDs connected to them. When commission is generated upon a purchase (in the case of online purchases) or when coupon redemption revenue is generated some time after a purchase (in the case of in-store purchases), revenue received is awarded back to the customer in points. Points can be used toward the purchase of any merchant gift card or gift certificate by a participating ChopDog registered affiliate or merchant. The ‘Give’ portion of the site refers to the fact that ChopDog donates the same amount of points to any Non-Profit of the shopper’s choosing that is registered with ChopDog.
Shopper, Business Owner, Non-Profit, Distributor
There are four participants in ChopDog’s “economy”. The first is you, the Shopper. The Shopper is the end user of coupons redeemed at local merchants or through online purchases. He or she would use the coupons offered on the site to save money on the items they wish to buy or can just shop for bargains. The Shopper is awarded points from a coupon redemption or an online purchase that can be used toward the purchase of gift cards or gift certificates. The Shopper also designates a recipient Non-Profit that they wish to receive the same benefit.
The second is the Business Owner. The Business Owner is a “brick and mortar”/storefront proprietor. He or she is seeking to get ChopDog Shoppers to find their store by using the coupon offers they have uploaded to the site. Once these coupons are used in their stores, Business Owners notify ChopDog through the site (coupon redemption) and are billed a small fee per redemption. However, they too receive points from the coupon redemption. Business Owners can take advantage of web-site hosting services offered by ChopDog. They would pay an additional fee for these services and get priority placement in search queries. Business Owners can also function like Shoppers in that they can just as easily use ChopDog coupons to save on goods and services as well as designate a recipient Non-Profit for points. .
The third participant is the Non-Profit. The Non-Profit could be a 501C3 Charity, not-for-profit organization such as a little league baseball team, etc. that has registered with ChopDog. When a subscriber enrolls with ChopDog.com they are required to pick a Non-Profit to receive matching rewards. Non-Profit funding results when a subscriber either purchases products from a ChopDog online store or uses a coupon at a local store. As a result of the purchase, ChopDog receives a commission. A portion of the company’s revenue is then deposited as points into the Non-Profit’s rewards account because the shopper picked them. Non-Profits can also act as Shoppers to earn an additional share when they use coupons at local merchants and make online purchases through ChopDog.
The fourth is the Distributor. The Distributor assumes responsibility of the Shoppers, Businesses and Non-Profits within a certain zip code. A Distributor’s responsibility is to increase the number of registered subscribers in his or her area. They are also to assist any Shopper, Business Owner and Non-Profit in better using the ChopDog site. The distributor is also paid a portion of the revenue received, from all coupon redemptions and commissions paid from online purchases, from all subscribers registered with their given zip code. The Distributor can also act just like a Shopper and designate a recipient Non-Profit for personal purchases made with ChopDog coupons. When Distributors make purchases, they also receive an additional revenue share in the form of points.
As you can see, ChopDog.com is a community of shoppers, businesses, non-profits and distributors working together for everyone’s benefit. How great is that?
