ChopDog Advertiser Information and FAQ

An advertiser is a local business, which can be an individual or a company, which offers a product or service with a coupon on the ChopDog web site. If you intend to sell something using ChopDog, it is always best to register as a business. You can still shop, save, earn and give but registering as a business will allow you to post coupons whenever you want. Otherwise you will have to set up a separate account to register as a business.

There are no set-up fees or any monthly ongoing fees. It’s free! The only time you pay for anything is when someone redeems a coupon, which means you made the sale and collected money for that sale.

From the home page just click on the “sign up” link and you will be taken to a page that has a link to subscribe as a business / advertiser. Click on this link and you will then be taken to the advertiser registration page. Once the information is complete your business is registered and you can create coupons.

You can create any coupon you want as long as it complies with our guidelines. ChopDog does not post coupons that promote pornographic or adult products or services, gambling tokens or credits, coupons that promote hate or racial products or coupons that promote memberships in any organization that is engaged in hate or racial prejudice, adult sites, ponzi schemes, or any other membership of an illegal or questionable nature.

There are no fees to change, add or delete coupons. Remember, you only pay for coupons after the sale or action has been made and you have collected the money or accomplished your goal.

A “Sale” for the most part is a product or service that is sold to an end user or customer. As a business you consider what a sales is. A sale can be a lead, which you in turn work to accomplish your final goal. Here are some examples of lead generation sales where no money is initially collected:

In these cases, ChopDog considers the sale the result of the coupon offer not the final goal of the coupon, which is the real intention of the business. These Free offers can lead to high end sales. So, ChopDog looks at the value of the Final Goal to determine the Redemption Fee (see below). You can review this fee with your ChopDog representative.

You will be prompted to renew your coupon once a month. As long as the coupon has not been edited, except for the expiration date, there is no approval process. At which point the expiration date will change to the end of the following month.

As soon as you have registered your business, you can create coupons. Once coupons are created, you simply upload them. Coupons are reviewed, approved by your ChopDog representative and displayed to the public. This process usually takes a couple of minutes but can take up to 8 hours.

Again, it costs nothing to post a coupon. ChopDog invoices you only after you make the sale, collected the money, and the subscriber I.D. printed on the coupon, is uploaded to our site. Redemption fees are charged based on the after promotion value of the product or service sold. Our schedule is as follows:

No. We encourage you to maintain your current marketing programs as long as they work for you. Our program costs you nothing, unless you make a sale.

Go to your ad campaign section and click on upload coupons. Enter the subscriber ID from the coupon and click upload. It’s that simple.

You have until the end of the following month to upload coupons. However, your customer will be notified when the coupon is uploaded, so the sooner the better. Faster uploads means better communications with the customer and prevents calls asking you where their reward points are.

No. But again, we recommend that you do it as soon as possible since your customer will be waiting to receive their ChopDog points.

The reality is we would not know, however your customer would because they would not receive any reward points for the purchase. This would lead to a complaint from the customer, negative feedback and possible suspension from coupon posting. Not to mention, the customer may never shop with you again. So it’s always a good idea to follow through and upload coupons promptly.

You would have to wait until the customer contacted you or our dispute resolution team at which point we could obtain the customer’s subscriber ID that would allow us to complete the upload transaction.

No. You do not need a best in show web site. However, a Best In Show web site gives more information about your products, services or location. It includes hours of operation, maps or graphics. But more importantly businesses that have a Best In Show web site with ChopDog have a higher ranking in display searches and can appear on the left side of the user’s screen for increased awareness.

The monthly hosting fee is $14.99 with a $149.95 design cost.

Yes you can. A stand alone web site has a its own domain name (e.g. www. Johnniespizza.com) as opposed to a Best In Show site which is a sub domain (e.g. www.ChopDog.com/pizza/jonnies pizza) Stand-alone web sites are $39.99 a month or you can have both for 49.99 a month. Design costs vary depending upon the number of graphics, pages and complexity of the site. Ask your representative for details.

You are billed by credit card, Paypal or bank account. Invoices are generated the following business day after the close of the month. ChopDog will summarize all your costs and bill your preferred payment option. We will notify you when we do so.

It is your responsibility to keep your account updated with current credit information. If for some reason, we cannot bill you; your coupons will no longer be displayed with ChopDog.

You can pre-pay for services by sending us a minimum of $50.00, which will be applied to your account for any charges.

You earn points based on the redemption fee. This is deposited as points into your rewards account. Rewards can be redeemed through the redemption center in the form of gift cards for many products and services from merchants other than yourself. It’s our way thanking you for taking the time to enter the information on our system.

Your points post to your personal reward statement as we get information from stores you shopped at, or stores at which you used coupons.

ChopDog gives you points as rewards for making purchases and using coupons with participating ChopDog stores. You also earn points as a business to redeem coupons. These points can be redeemed for gift certificates from a variety of stores.

Your reward points never expire as long as you are actively participating in the program i.e. making online purchases and using coupons. An account that shows no activity for 12 consecutive months is considered dormant. A dormancy fee of 100 points per month is applied to the account, to cover data recovery and administrative costs. Until, either the points are gone or it becomes active again. Additionally, if you decide to opt out of the program for some reason, you will be encouraged to use up your points with gift card purchases. Any remaining points will be lost.

1.You had blocked cookies from your computer which did not allow for your tracking 2.The cookies you had with your online merchant may have expired because you did not go through ChopDog.com. 3.You directly logged on to the store’s website without going through ChopDog. 4.The store has not reported a sale back to ChopDog yet.

No but it is highly advised. Most if not all on line vendors use cookies as a means to pay commissions back to ChopDog which in turn will be paid to you. However if you clear out your cookies and go directly to a store’s web site to make a purchase, you will not get commission. Additionally some cookies expire in 30 days. So it’s always a good idea to log onto to ChopDog.com and search for your product or favorite online store.

You will need to contact the merchant directly for any product returns or concerns. ChopDog will be charged back for any commissions it receives. Consequently, whatever points you were given will be charged back.
